Where Decadence Meets Affordability
Just a five-minute stroll from downtown Port Jefferson village, this 1800’s Victorian offers three cozy rooms furnished with antiques from a long range of eras, creating a fun, unique atmosphere. As a young couple who loves to travel, the innkeepers’ vision for the bed and breakfast is based on and held to the standard of what they hope to find during their own travels. We strive to make your getaway experience exactly what you hope for it to be! Each private, skeleton-keyed bedroom has a private bathroom, and shares a large common area full of books, games, snacks, desserts, tea, and coffee. A full European-style continental breakfast, complimentary with every booking, suits most any visitor’s vision of the right way to start the day. In the warm seasons, welcome you to enjoy a snooze on either of our Victorian covered porches, or use the BBQ on the shaded back patio.

Guests can easily walk to/from the Long Island Rail Road “Port Jefferson” station or Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry, though innkeepers offer free pickup/drop-off when schedules allow. With so many incredible restaurants, shops, miles of beachfront, and activities in right in this historic village, it’s your perfect car-free Long Island getaway. If you happen to have a set of wheels, it’s just a 35 minute drive to the beginning of the north fork wine trail, and an hour+ to the Hamptons and Montauk on the south fork.

We hope to meet you soon! Call or email with any thoughts or questions on how we can make your stay at The Fox and Owl extra special.
