This year’s theme utilizes the beauty and simplicity found in the national flags around the world and expands upon the wine bottle theme. Robert Burns Night has been a popular worldwide event since the early 1800’s celebrating the birthday of Robert Burns,the famous Scottish bard and Scotland’s favorite son ( 1759-1796) . Festivities kick off by, “piping in the haggis,” a procession with haggis platter, musicians and bagpiper, followed by numerous whiskey toasts, a traditional Scottish meal, Burns poetry reading, and general hilarity, culminating with singing of “Auld Lang Syne” Scottish Don & Ronan along with Susie Tara
