Spring has sprung and with it comes celebrations of gorgeous spring produce and heading outdoors for the foreseeable future! Check out this festive list of agritourism experiences happening just outside New York City all spring long, from wine tastings to floral workshops to farm-to-table meals! Start planning your next weekend getaway ASAP.


27th Annual Wine & Herb Festival: The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail in the Finger Lakes invites you to get your garden started early! Travel the trail and collect potted herb or vegetable plants as you go. Each winery pairs wine with a delicious food dish that contains their chosen herb or vegetable. You’ll also get to take home the recipe to make it at your next gathering! Wild Ramp Festival: Head up to the Catskills for the Third Annual Wild Ramp Festival, a true agricultural and culinary experience, at Roscoe Beer Company. On May 4th, enjoy a day of family fun while shopping the large farmers market, listening to live music, taking part in the many games and activities and of course some great craft beer! There will also be an educational tent dedicated to local agriculture and information about ramps, plus some sampling stations for you to truly see why ramps are so popular! Then stick around for the after party 4-7! Upgrade to the VIP experience and purchase tickets to the Farm to Table Tent, featuring some amazing local chefs. As a VIP you will get to enjoy several ramp inspired dishes perfectly paired with one of our beers, plus a VIP goody bag to take with you. Wild Ramp Fest

Beards & Brews Competition: Galaxy Brewing Company is delighted to welcome all bearded and mustachioed friends (and facial hair fans) back to the Galaxy for their Second Annual Beards & Brews Competition on May 4th! This all-day event will feature a Beard Competition during the day (Categories to be announced) and they’ll close out the evening with one of Binghamton’s hottest bands, The Bro-Bro’s! The Bro-Bro’s are an all-male punk band from Binghamton, New York, that plays covers of your favorite girl band and female soloists from the 80’s and 90’s! Make a weekend in Central New York out of this special event and hop around to lots of other Brew Central gems that dot the region.

NY Beer Fest: If you can’t get away for the weekend, let the local breweries come to you from all across the region at the 2nd annual NY Beer Fest on May 4th. The festival will take over Citi Field, bringing together dozens of craft breweries that will feature spring seasonal beers, plus games and entertainment throughout the park. General Admission is $50 and includes unlimited tastings, with food sold separately from a number of concessions.  Enjoy local brews and ciders made from New York Apples all day long! VIP Admission is $80 and will include early entry, plus access to the warning track and dugouts.

Wines & Bites Along the Shawangunk Wine Trail: Wake up those taste buds and get ready for the Hudson Valley’s yummiest wine and food tasting event on May 18 and 19 along the Shawangunk Wine Trail. Receive a souvenir wine glass at the starting winery of your choice and enjoy wine tastings at all member wineries. Each winery will offer select food bites of either cheeses, meats, salads, pastas, or desserts paired with your tasting. Purchase tickets here. Explore the wineries at your own pace over the course of one or two days on a self-guided tour of the SWT. 10-5pm both days.

Spring Celebration Weekend at Fat Apple Farm: Spend Memorial Day Weekend on a beautiful Hudson Valley Farm! Join for the 2nd annual Spring Celebration Weekend Saturday, May 25th-Sunday May 26th at Fat Apple Farm. This weekend-long farm escape includes a farm tour, floral workshop, butchering demo, delicious dinner featuring Fat Apple Farm and Forts Ferry Farm product, beer and wine, camping, and more.
