The Blueberry Festival was designed as an annual family fun festival. It gives reference to the Blueberry Industry that once was an important part of our area and culture. The Blueberry Festival also gives our community the opportunity to showcase itself to those from outside our area.  It is a "give-back" for all the hard work each and every one of us contributes to making our community what it is. Arts, Crafts, Handmades, Clothing, Jewelry, Accessories, and more. Lots of  "Blueberry Goodies". 

Open Farm Days is a FREE 2-day annual event that invites visitors to experience local agriculture up-close. On Saturday and Sunday, from 12-4pm each day, farms across Tompkins County, New York will open their gates, barns and pastures to the public for farm tours, demonstrations, food tastings, and animal interaction for an afternoon of family-friendly farm fun! An annual street festival held on the second Sunday in August hosted by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce. Vendors line Bagel Boulevard (Broadway) from 9-4 with musical performances, family activities, and a bagel triathlon.

At the Herkimer County Fair, there will be a demolition derby, daily entertainment, talent shows, pageants, horse show, arts and crafts along with so much more.

Hopsego brings together traditional ways, paired with contemporary craft. From the growing of hops to the making of food, beer and other products, families will get an all-encompassing experience and learn how the hop flower and vine rooted our region, formed family traditions and brought us into the resurgence of hop growing and craft brewing today. Vivid memories will be made; those that will endure a lifetime.

Farmers in Schoharie, Otsego, and Delaware Counties welcome visitorsduring the 7th Annual Family Farm Day (FFD), Saturday, August 24, 2019. FFD is a signature agritourism event that engages farms, restaurants, local ag businesses, tourists, and visitors throughout the tri-county region. Farms eligible to participate have an opportunity to showcase their farm while introducing visitors to diverse, high-quality products that generate farm-gate sales and build long-term customer relationships.

What better way to spend Labor Day than with all things hops? Follow the journey of hops, one of New York State’s original cash crops, from field to brewery to pint glass. There will be tastings, food, and music all day, so kick back with one of GCV&M’s signature ales, and enjoy this last hurrah to summer! Harken back to the days when hop growing was king with this family celebration of hop crops and brewing.
