1-2 HOURS FROM NYC:

Westchester County is a food lover’s paradise and boasts a surprising blend of experiences. It is home to bustling shopping areas, meandering parkways, forested nature preserves, hiking trails, historic castles, estates and mansions, and – perhaps most surprisingly – thriving agricultural enterprises offering authentic farm experiences. Westchester always puts fresh and innovative on the menu. For more information on area hotels, farms, breweries and agricultural experiences within one hour of New York City, click here for info!

1-2 HOURS FROM NYC:

Sullivan County’s breweries, wineries, and distilleries are the talk of the town! Less than 2 hours from NYC there’s a strong farm to table and craft beverage industry brewing in the Catskills. Much to the delight of visitors, there are 16 towns and villages where you can savor a gourmet meal, or grab a grass fed burger. Before you do, check out the sweet scene at any of a number of sugar shacks for great homemade maple syrup. And don’t miss sipping on a hand-crafted Peace Vodka, a Trout Town Amber Ale, or a Cabernet Franc either. Click here for info!

1-3 HOURS FROM NYC:

Discover the Long Island Craft Beverage Trail. Along the way you’ll find three dozen wineries for tastings and tours. Breweries featuring complex blends of hops and flavors blended to frothy perfection. And local hand-crafted spirits distilled with local potatoes and water from ancient aquifers. There the ‘catch of the day’ was likely hauled in that morning from the waters off the Island shores and comes paired with vegetables from a nearby farm stand. The passion of place is palpable. Local. Authentic. Delicious. Click here for info!

2-3 HOURS FROM NYC:

Awaken the Dragon in Dutchess County! Form a team with 15 friends or co-workers and compete in our 3rd Annual Dragon Boat Race on Saturday, July 23rd. Participate in an exciting activity for paddlers of all ages! Instruction and equipment provided (one practice session). Alongside the Dragon Boat races, the shoreline hums with energy and excitement at the Asian Cultural Festival! There’s puppetry and story-telling for kids, Dragon face/arm painting and hands-on demonstrations of Calligraphy, wood-block printing and Origami/kite making. HRRA Community Boathouse, Poughkeepsie, 9am – 3pm. Could be the highlight of your summer! Click here for info!

4-5 HOURS FROM NYC:

People crave more. More flavor. More styles. More of an experience. That’s why craft brewers, hard cider-makers and distillers in Corning and the Southern Finger Lakes created “Craft Your Adventure,” a self-guided, master crafted beverage tour and collection of craft beverage experiences. Whether you crave beers from NY’s “Best Craft Brewery,” events like the Heritage Village Craft Bev Expo and the Finger Lakes Beer Festival or beer-themed getaway packages, “Craft Your Adventure” is your ticket for fun. Click here for info!
