Corn, Hops and Apple Fests in Central NY

Dear EscapeMakers — It is officially that time of year when summer starts to fade and fall foliage begins to cover the landscape of CNY. Fun fall festivities are underway, and we’ve got you covered. Kicking off the harvest season is Family Farm Day on August 24. Explore local farms in Schoharie, Otsego and Delaware counties taking tours, engaging in activities, getting the opportunity to be up close with the animals and enjoying samples from the various farm vendors.

Celebrate the spirit of fall homecoming in beautiful Sharon Springs at the Beekman 1802 Harvest Fest. On the weekend of September 14, shop the villages for one-of-a-kind gifts, take a tour of the farm and experience a modern-day Pasta Alla Tavola.

Central New York is America’s Craft Brew Destination and they celebrate their hops heritage each
fall with the Madison County Hop Fest. Enjoy craft beer sampling from local breweries and other brew-related activities September 13-15. Keep an eye out for some of the Brew Central partners who are sure to be in the mix.

Gather up the kids and head to a popular CNY destination, The Farmers’ Museum, to celebrate the
41st Annual Harvest Festival. Relish in the live performances, music and family activities
to bring in the season harvest.

Apples, pumpkins, entertainment: oh my! Make your way to the 33rd Annual Greene Apple Fest in Ball Flats, Greene. Walk around exploring a variety of local crafters, food stands and more.
