The only remaining market structure from Fiorello La Guardia’s tenure as New York City’s mayor, Moore Street was opened in 1941 and continues to be a mainstay of East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Deeply rooted in Latino culture, the 15,000 square foot market is undergoing a $2.5 million renovation, making it more vital today than ever before. As we celebrate women and all they have accomplished over the last 100 years, this special event will highlight a number of the Moore Street women-owned businesses whose entrepreneurship, hard work, dedication and creativity have made this NYC Public Market so special. These businesses, which add to the energy and success of Moore Street on a daily basis, include: The Rose Thrift Shop Ramonita's Restaurant Botanica La Esperanza Body & Soul Vegan Bakery Nedia's Beauty Salon Martino Sisters During this event, attendees can sample and shop from these featured vendors, enjoy live music, network with female entrepreneurs, and support the regular Moore Street Market vendors.
