This special day trip, is offered on Saturdays and Sundays, August 26 & 27, and September 2 & 3, and Monday, September 5 (Labor Day), is operated by the Rail & Cruise Travel Center, and includes breakfast, onboard entertainment, a gourmet 5-course dinner, and complimentary beverages and cocktails!
You’ll start your 300-mile roundtrip journey on board in the exclusive “Epicurus” dining car with a delicious breakfast. A special host will keep you informed and entertained as you pass amazing sights along the Hudson River, including the Palisades, West Point, Bannerman’s Castle, Storm King Mountain, Bear Mountain, stately mansions, and a myriad of picturesque sailboats, barges, tugboats, and even lighthouses.
Once you arrive in historic Saratoga Springs, explore on your own — on foot or by taxi! Best known for its world-famous thoroughbred race course, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and the naturally-occurring mineral springs, this little city has much to offer. Check out its hip and stylish downtown packed with shops and restaurants or visit its multiple museums, including the New York State Military Museum and the Saratoga Automobile Museum.
On the way back to NYC, you will enjoy a five-course sit-down dinner, complete with fine china and white linens. On board, guests may choose from a selection of freshly prepared entrees. Complimentary soft drinks, wine, beer, and cocktails are also included throughout the trip!
