1940’s Weekend: Come catch a glimpse of life during WWII, with home front demos, military displays, American style food, dancers, and musicians.
The stars are the historic airplanes including our 1909 Bleriot, the oldest regularly flying airplane in the Western Hemisphere; the Fokker DR-I Triplane, the most famous fighter of WWI; and a precise replica of the Spirit of St. Louis, which was the first aircraft to fly NY to Paris in 1927. The race is held in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, home to a number of world famous wineries. Our host, Taughannock Falls State Park, about 8 miles north of Ithaca, provides a picturesque setting for the whole family to enjoy the triathlon.

Each participant chooses an Austen character to be while we participate throughout the weekend in a variety of Regency period activities which may include a Regency dinner party, whist, English country dancing, quill pen making and letter writing, crewel embroidery or tatting lessons, rolled paper decoration, croquet, sewing workshops, riding (side-saddle or astride), carriage driving, archery, and fencing.
