November 29 – December 1: Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market (Hudson, NY)
Head up to Hudson Thanksgiving Weekend for the eighth Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market. With over 100 vendors, including 25 Basilica Farm & Flea first-timers, Basilica Farm & Flea is the only market of this scale in the region. Inspired by the abundance of passionate and talented farmers, collectors and artisans in the Hudson Valley, Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market showcases the best of what the region has to offer, against unique backdrop of Basilica Hudson’s reclaimed, solar powered 1880s factory. Stay for the night or weekend at the eco-friendly Croff House, a gorgeous Victorian inn circa 1875 and just 2.25 hours from NYC (walkable from the Amtrak station) and right in the heart of town!
November 29 – December 22: Cut your own Christmas Trees (Somerset, NJ)
Black Friday marks opening day of Christmas Tree season at Suydam Farms in Central New Jersey! They will be open every Saturday and Sunday from the November 29th until December 22nd 2019. They offer cut your own, pre-cut and a special Charlie Brown selection of trees. They also have several grave blankets and wreaths for all of your holiday needs. At the beautiful farm which plays Christmas carols, hosts wagon rides, and offers hot apple cider and toast marshmallows, you are sure to get some holiday spirit!
December 6-8: 26th Annual Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Holiday Shopping Spree (Cayuga Lake)
Spend the weekend in Ithaca, NY and Tompkins County and explore the amazing wine region of the Finger Lakes. The 26th Annual Holiday Shopping Spree along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail hosts tastes, shopping and holiday fun. Be the thrifty multi-tasker that you are – treat yourself while shopping for others! Cross items off your gift list as you sample before you buy. You’ll get a souvenir wine glass, a grapevine wreath, an ornament at each stop, a shoppers card, wine and food! December 8: Deck the Stalls Holiday Market (New York, NY)
Celebrate the delicious history and continuing presence of NYC’s public markets and their unique local producers at the 2nd annual Deck the Stalls Holiday Market. This FREE market showcase will take place in the historic Seaport District NYC. Come out from 11am – 5pm on December 8th to sample the food and cultures of NYC’s public markets and local NYS craft beverages and get your holiday shopping done. Presented by NYCEDC. December 17: National Maple Syrup Day
