Meet the Producer: Brian Facquet

Meet the Producer: Brian Facquet

Prohibition Distillery is located two hours northwest of New York City in historic Roscoe, NY in Sullivan County. Most people know this Catskill town as the home of American fly fishing, but Brian and his team like to think of it as a “Distilling town with a fishing problem”. Prohibition Distillery is the home to award-winning Bootlegger21 NY Vodka, Gin and Bourbon.

Prohibition’s goal is to produce the highest quality spirits, help the local economy, and live their dream along the way. They made the 1929 Roscoe Firehouse and former VFW Hallour their home. They chose the firehouse to preserve the building, and the 30 foot arched ceilings in the rear made a great place for their 20 plate column. Over the years, the rear of the firehouse has been the town gymnasium, a shooting range, and eventually housed the fire trucks that protected Roscoe.

Brian is a true ambassador for Sullivan County, the Catskills region, and for the craft spirit industry. His passion for local business, agritourism and craft beverage are infectious and his knowledge is endless! Plan a visit to the tasting room and we assure you you’ll learn something new!
