DESCRIPTION:The stars are the historic airplanes including our 1909 Bleriot\, the oldest regularly flying airplane in the Western Hemisphere; the Fokker DR-I Triplane\, the most famous fighter of WWI; and a precise replica of the Spirit of St. Louis\, which was the first aircraft to fly NY to Paris in 1927. While aircraft rotate on and off the flightline\, usually 15-20 are flyable for our shows. The Saturday “History of Flight” programs highlight the Pioneer era before WWI\, a WWI show teaser\, and the Golden Age of Aviation in the ’20s and ’30s. The Sunday shows are our WWI spectacular with a hero\, a heroine (Cheer!)\, the villainous Black Baron of Rhinebeck (Boo!)\, scenery\, pyrotechnics and a WWI tank.  Gift Shop and snack bar will be open.  Come early and stay late to see the Museum\, take a Bi-plane ride\, or enjoy the grounds.  Show begins at 2 pm and run until approximatley 4 pm.

The Woodsmen?s Club from the SUNY College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill returns to Hanford Mills to demonstrate cross-cut sawing\, overhand and underhand chop\, ax throwing and other lumberjack skills. The speed and precision of these talented college students is amazing to watch. The day of fall fun features woodworking demonstrations\, exhibits by forest and woodworking organizations\, food. music\, kids? activities\, local vendors\, and Mill demonstrations.\n?The first mill was built on this site in 1846\,? says Museum executive director Liz Callahan. ?For generations and generations\, Hanford Mills supplied the community with lumber and wood products they needed for their homes\, businesses\, and farms. The Woodsmen?s Festival celebrates this history\, and is an opportunity to demonstrate how we still use water power to run the Mills? machines. We also want to highlight the work of today?s woodworkers\, craftspeople\, lumberjacks\, and organizations that work to protect and enhance our forests.?

Craft demos\, live music\, creative food court\, entertainment\, and a Specialty Food Tent with spirits tastings. Held annually on Columbus Day Weekend\, the foliage is at its absolute zenith. The selection if exhibitors make this an excellent craft show. Many tourists return yearly to see their favorite ones and to add to their collections of handmade work.

SUMMARY:Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Airshow
DESCRIPTION:The stars are the historic airplanes including our 1909 Bleriot\, the oldest regularly flying airplane in the Western Hemisphere; the Fokker DR-I Triplane\, the most famous fighter of WWI; and a precise replica of the Spirit of St. Louis\, which was the first aircraft to fly NY to Paris in 1927. While aircraft rotate on and off the flightline\, usually 15-20 are flyable for our shows. The Saturday “History of Flight” programs highlight the Pioneer era before WWI\, a WWI show teaser\, and the Golden Age of Aviation in the ’20s and ’30s. The Sunday shows are our WWI spectacular with a hero\, a heroine (Cheer!)\, the villainous Black Baron of Rhinebeck (Boo!)\, scenery\, pyrotechnics and a WWI tank.  Gift Shop and snack bar will be open.  Come early and stay late to see the Museum\, take a Bi-plane ride\, or enjoy the grounds.  Show begins at 2 pm and run until approximatley 4 pm.
