The 10th Annual Vermont Wine & Harvest festival is coming September 23\, 2017 to the Mount Snow Resort in Southern Vermont’s Deerfield Valley. This year’s Festival is bookended by events: Friday the 22nd – Wine Stroll-Soup Contest in Wilmington; Saturday the 23rd – the Wine and Harvest Festival at Mount Snow; and Sunday the 24th – the Vermont Wildlife Festival. SUMMARY:Historic Automobile Endurance Run from Weehawken\, NJ to Pittsburgh\, PA
DESCRIPTION:In 1903 the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers sponsored an 800-mile endurance run from Weehawken\, NJ to Pittsburgh\, PA. Thirty-four competing automobiles departed on October 7\, 1903 and traveled up the Hudson Valley and then through the Catskill Mountains. Reaching Delhi on the second day in a driving rain\, they continued on through Franklin and then to Binghamton and beyond. Robert Selkowitz\, Director of Historic Automobile Endurance Runs\, LLC\, is planning to recreate a part of the run with vintage cars.

SUMMARY:Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Airshow
DESCRIPTION:The stars are the historic airplanes including our 1909 Bleriot\, the oldest regularly flying airplane in the Western Hemisphere; the Fokker DR-I Triplane\, the most famous fighter of WWI; and a precise replica of the Spirit of St. Louis\, which was the first aircraft to fly NY to Paris in 1927. While aircraft rotate on and off the flightline\, usually 15-20 are flyable for our shows. The Saturday “History of Flight” programs highlight the Pioneer era before WWI\, a WWI show teaser\, and the Golden Age of Aviation in the ’20s and ’30s. The Sunday shows are our WWI spectacular with a hero\, a heroine (Cheer!)\, the villainous Black Baron of Rhinebeck (Boo!)\, scenery\, pyrotechnics and a WWI tank.  Gift Shop and snack bar will be open.  Come early and stay late to see the Museum\, take a Bi-plane ride\, or enjoy the grounds.  Show begins at 2 pm and run until approximatley 4 pm.
